In 1990 a grant of £100,000 was allocated to the IABA for major development works at the National Boxing Stadium in Dublin under the major facilities scheme operated by my Department. A further grant of £150,000 was allocated in June, 1994, towards the cost of refurbishing the gymnasium. A total of £28,386.68 from the grant of £150,000 was paid in December, 1994 in respect of certified construction work and professional fees.
