Written Answers. - Long-term Unemployment.
The CSO publishes a half-yearly age by duration analysis of the Live Register. The most recent information available from this analysis relates to April 1994 and shows that, of the total Live Register figure of 286,372 in April 1994, 135,340 persons had been on the register continuously for one year or more. Corresponding figures in respect of October 1994 will be published by the CSO within the next two weeks.
