Question:

66 Mr. B. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the names of all unestablished civil servants appointed since 15 December 1994, including programme managers, special advisers and other staff; and the salaries, duties and terms of appointment of these appointees. [1465/95]

The following unestablished civil servants have been appointed by the Department of Finance and the offices under its aegis since 15 December:

Department of Finance

Mr. Ciarán O'Mara has been appointed on contract as programme manager in the Department of Finance on a salary of £42,894 per annum.
I am appointing Mr. Brendan Lynch as my special adviser. Contract details are being finalised.
Ms Denise Rogers has been appointed on contract as my personal secretary on a salary of £27,156 per annum.
Office of Public Works
Mr. Tim Wray has been appointed as a personal adviser to Minister of State, Deputy Phil Hogan on a salary of £32,659 per annum.
Ms Mary Farrelly has been appointed as personal secretary to the Minister of State on a salary of £373.16 per week.
Mr. Phil Hogan and Mr. James Robinson have both been appointed as civilian drivers to the Minister of State on salaries of £247.74 per week.
Mr. James Brennan has been appointed as a packer and porter in the Office of Public Works on a salary of £199.22 per week.
The above people will be required to perform any duties that may be assigned to them from time to time as appropriate to their position. The positions are wholetime and the appointees may not engage in private practice or be connected with any outside business which would interfere with the performance of their official duties.
