Question:

81 Mr. B. Ahern asked the Minister for Health the names of all unestablished civil servants appointed since 15 December 1994, including programme managers, special advisers and other staff; and the salaries, duties and terms of appointment of these appointees.

Limerick East): I have appointed: Ms Mary Kenny as my personal assistant at a salary of £22,258 per annum, Ms Jane Leslie as personal secretary to Deputy Brian O'Shea, Minister of State at my Department, at a salary of £254.76 per week, Mr. Maurice O'Regan and Mr. Thomas Barry as civilian drivers to Deputy Brian O'Shea and Mr. James Carr as civilian driver to Deputy Austin Currie, each at a salary of £247.74 per week and Mr. Thomas Hannigan as special adviser to Deputy Austin Currie, Minister of State at my Department, at a salary of £28,953 per annum.

I am appointing: Mr. Richard Greene as partnership programme manager, Mr. Liam Curham as personal assistant to Deputy Brian O'Shea, Ms Marie Meegan as personal assistant to Deputy Austin Currie and Ms Jane Murphy and Ms Brenda Coyne, job-sharers, as personal secretary to Deputy Austin Currie. The rate of salary for these persons has not yet been settled. The duties and other terms of appointment are those which applied during the term of office of the previous Government.
