224 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who applied for the farm retirement scheme on 6 September 1994, has not as yet received any payments under this scheme; the reason for the delay in processing this application; and when payments will commence. The application in this case was received on 6 September 1994 but as it was found to be incomplete, it was not possible to validate until 16 December 1994. I am pleased that the pension has now been approved and the first payment will be at the end of this month with effect from 16 December last. Further payments should be made at the end of each subsequent month.
