225 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the number of diversions which occurred at Cork Airport through adverse weather during 1994; the way in which this figure compared with other years over the past decade; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table gives details of traffic diversions at Cork Airport over the past decade.

As will be seen from the above figures the number of diversions have decreased significantly over the decade. This is due to the upgrading of electronic navigational aids and equipment at the airport.
