Vol. 449 No. 1

Written Answers. - Sewerage Schemes.

James Leonard

Question:

109 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for the Environment when funding will be made available to Carrickmacross Urban District Council for an extension of its sewerage treatment works. [3225/95]

Contract documents for this scheme have been approved. Pending completion of the assessment of overall local authority requirements in the context of available grant resources for 1995, I cannot yet indicate when it may be possible to authorise the local authority to invite tenders for this scheme.

Séamus Hughes

Question:

110 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the provision of a sewerage scheme for the village of Belcarra, County Mayo. [3263/95]

Mayo County Council have proposed a new sewage collection and treatment system for the village. Having regard to the existing high level of commitments for water services projects generally, I cannot indicate when it may be possible to progress this proposal.
