112 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for the Environment if it is allowable for a hackney private hire vehicle licence holder to open an office and to conduct business from these premises; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3292/95]

The use of premises to conduct a small public service vehicle private hire business is not regulated under the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) Regulations, 1963 to 1993. Such use may, however, require planning permission.
