129 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education the capital grants allocated by the sports section of her Department since the appointment of the present Government on 15 December 1994, and the subsequent appointment of a Minister for State with special responsibility for sport on 20 December 1994. [2418/95]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach)

Grants of £150,000 and £100,000 were allocated by my Department's sport section on 16 December 1994 to Tralee sport centre and to the Kerry diocesan youth centre respectively under the major sports facilities programme. These grants were allocated towards the cost of major refurbishment works and extensions at both centres.
