Question:

131 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to accede to a request for the provision of a special class in Drumshanbo national school, County Leitrim, for national school pupils with learning difficulties. [3120/95]

My Department has received an application from Drumshanbo national school for a special class for mildly mentally handicapped pupils. The matter is currently being investigated by my Department's primary inspectorate. I will inform the Deputy of the outcome as soon as the investigations have been completed.
