Question:216 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of hares killed and injured in the 1994-95 coursing season. [3294/95]

I have been informed that 51 hares were killed at 74 enclosed coursing meetings involving 7,818 courses during the 1994-95 coursing season up to 5 February 1995. A further 23 hares were injured and had to be put down.
