62 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Health his views on the figures quoted in the document A Social Portrait of Europe; and the action, if any, he proposes to take in view of its associated risk factors to many different diseases. [3092/95]

Limerick East): I presume the statistics referred to by the Deputy are in relation to alcohol. All aspects relating to alcohol use and misuse will be dealt with in a comprehensive national policy on alcohol, the formulation of which is at an advanced stage.
