Question:88 Mr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Defence the plans, if any, he has for the refurbishment of the army barracks in Castleblayney, County Monaghan. [4768/95]

Construction of a new officers' mess which was commenced at Castleblayney Military Post in mid 1994 is due to be completed this year. Plans for the improvement of accommodation at the post for NCOs and privates are under consideration. General maintenance works will continue to be undertaken as required in the light of available resources.
