Written Answers. - National Drug Testing Programme.
Final plans are being developed for the introduction of a national drug testing programme in Irish sport this year. The national governing bodies of sport have been consulted and are in favour of such a programme. Extensive discussions are being completed with relevant experts and the sports councils in Northern Ireland and Britain on their drug testing systems. Details of the programme here will be announced at a later date.
