185 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he has received the report into the future options for Telecom Éireann ownership and alliances; if he will publish the report as a discussion document to enable consideration of the matter by Dáil Éireann before final decisions are taken. I have recently received a report entitled A Strategic Business Review from Telecom Éireann about its strategic options. A review of the report gave rise to the need for supplementary information, clarifications and greater detail. Some of the additional information and clarifications have been received. As the review contains some commercially sensitive information it will not be published. In so far as ownership and alliances are concerned the only question which arises now relates to a mandate for deepening discussions with interested parties and not any final decisions.
