41 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Justice if the internal Garda Authority inquiry into the events at Lansdowne Road on Wednesday, 15 February 1995, has yet been completed; if so, its findings; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5475/95]
The Deputy will appreciate that the internal Garda inquiry is being conducted in conjunction with the task which Mr. Justice Finlay has undertaken to report on the recent violence at Lansdowne Road. I have been advised by Mr. Justice Finlay that substantial progress has been made and that he is receiving full cooperation from both the Garda and the FAI. While I am anxious to have his report as quickly as possible I am not in a position at present to give a precise date for the completion of the report.
