Vol. 450 No. 8

Written Answers. - Glanmire (Cork) School.

Máirín Quill

Question:

148 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Education the proposals, if any, she has in respect of Our Lady of Good Counsel school, Lota, Glanmire, Cork, regarding its application for permanent classroom assistants for pupils with moderate learning difficulties. [6082/95]

I recently announced that I intend to allocate an additional 100 child care assistant posts in 1995. These posts will be allocated on a priority basis having regard to the level of need for such services among the various categories of children involved.

The needs of Our Lady of Good Counsel school will be fully considered in the context of this allocation.
