Vol. 450 No. 8

Written Answers. - Terminal Passenger Traffic.

Batt O'Keeffe

Question:

220 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the number of terminal passengers through Irish airports operating scheduled commercial services during 1994. [6114/95]

Total terminal passenger traffic at Dublin. Shannon and Cork Airports in 1994 was as follows: Dublin Airport, 6,926,432 passengers; Shannon Airport, 1,044,109 passengers and Cork Airport, 794,795 passengers. Total terminal passenger traffic in 1994 at the six regional airports — Donegal, Carrickfin; Sligo, Connaught, Knock; Galway, Carnmore; Kerry, Farranfore; and Waterford — was 294,415.

It is not possible to give a breakdown in respect of the regional airports on an individual basis. These airports are private companies and they regard passenger throughput data as commercially sensitive.
