I propose to take Questions Nos. 31 and 182 together.

Shannon Development acts under the aegis of my Department and is responsible for tourism promotion and development in the Shannon region. Specifically Shannon Development is charged with responsibility for the following tourism related functions: the promotion and development of new tourism products to an internationally acceptable scale and standard, for example Dromoland Castle and Ballyneety golf course, capable of attracting overseas visitors through Shannon Airport; the development and marketing of SFADCo owned tourism products, for example Bunratty Folk Park, Knappogue and Dunguaire Castles etc. with a view to attracting traffic through Shannon Airport; the management and development of the activities of the former regional tourism organisation.
Shannon gets both Exchequer and European Regional Development Fund funds through my Department to carry out these functions.
