99 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for Justice if she will introduce a specific offence of endangering children in one's care as recommended by the Law Reform Commission and in response to recent child abuse cases and child deaths. [6330/95]
The recommendation referred to by the Deputy is one of the recommendations contained in the Law Reform Commission's report on non-fatal offences against the person.
The report is being considered in my Department with a view to bringing forward suitable amending legislation. My precise proposals for legislation will be announced as soon as possible.
