Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Seán Kenny — the application for funding under the EU Urban Initiative by Dublin Corporation and the Ballymun, Finglas and North-side partnerships; (2) Deputy Raphael P. Burke — the need for approval to be given to enable the contract for Fingal Community College, Swords, County Dublin, to go to tender; (3) Deputy Broughan — the need to have the Northside of Dublin, in particular, Coolock, Darndale, Ballymun and Finglas, selected as one of the Irish city regions for the purposes of the EU Urban Initiative Programme; (4) Deputy Molloy — the case of a person (details supplied) who has been severely physically and mentally handicapped as a result of a whooping cough vaccination, and the need to clarify whether the vaccine administered to him was from Batch 3741; (5) Deputy Lynch — the urgent need for increased protection of non-EU migrant workers, in particular those employed offshore by EU subcontractors; (6) Deputy Mulvihill — the need for an alternative slipway to ensure that Cross River Ferries Limited is in a position to provide a ferry service in Cork Harbour during the proposed ten weeks closure of the existing slipway; (7) Deputy Leonard — the need to provide funding to deal with the environmental problems in County Monaghan as outlined in the farm waste study financed from the 1991 to 1993 INTERREG allocation; (8) Deputy O'Dea — the need for changes in the Adoption Act, 1988, to facilitate adoptions, particularly in view of the fact that there are 3,000 children in the care of the health boards; (9) Deputy Connaughton — the need to have the Mater Dei Institute included in the scheme to abolish third level fees.

The matters raised by Deputies Broughan and Seán Kenny and Deputies Molloy, Raphael P. Burke and Leonard have been selected for discussion.
