Vol. 451 No. 4

Written Answers. - Programme Managers' Duties.

Máire Geoghegan-Quinn

Question:

11 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Defence the role, functions, powers and job descriptions of all programme managers appointed to his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4190/95]

No programme manager has been formally appointed at my Department although a programme manager has been designated pending finalisation of a contract. The programme manager assists in managing and co-ordinating the achievement of the Government's objectives as set out in the policy document A Government of Renewal. The programme manager provides administrative back up to assist me in the achievement of those objectives. He is, in addition required to perform any duties assigned to him from time to time as appropriate to his position.
