Vol. 452 No. 3

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Shortall — the need to control horses in urban areas; (2) Deputy Ned O'Keeffe — the need to upgrade Mallow Racecourse; (3) Deputy Browne (Wexford)— the serious shortage of nursing staff at St. John's Hospital, Enniscorthy; and the adverse effect this is having on patient care; (4) Deputy Kirk — the need for a specific sum to be provided under Leader II to help fund the excellent business plan for County Louth; (5) Deputy Martin — the need to remove the quota imposed on university places for the higher diploma in education; (6) Deputy Power — the dispute between teaching staff in the Army Apprentice School and the Department of Education;

The matters raised by Deputies Browne, Martin, Power and Kirk have been selected for discussion.
