Vol. 452 No. 4

Written Answers. - Local Authority Funding.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

46 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide funding for Castleblayney Urban District Council to pipe a dangerous drain at Drumillard, Castleblayney, County Monaghan. [8147/95]

Castleblayney Urban District Council submitted a proposal to my Department in 1992 for the appointment of consultants to examine the drainage collection system in the town, including the Drumillard area. Given the high level of demands under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the proposal.
