Vol. 452 No. 7

Written Answers. - Investigation of Death.

Liz O'Donnell

Question:

74 Ms O'Donnell asked the Minister for Justice if the gardaí are still investigating the death of a person (details supplied) given that only one of five suspects has been brought to trial, being convicted of a lesser charge of assault; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [8560/95]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the Court hearing this case accepted the admission of the convicted person that he, alone, was the attacker. The admission was corroborated at the trial. Accordingly, no other person is being sought for the crime.
