150 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if she has received a proposal for a family and child educational support project for 7-12 year olds in St. James's Street Christian Brothers' School and Mater Dei, Basin Lane, Dublin 8; her response to the proposal; and the assistance, financial or otherwise her Department can give to implement this badly needed support project in an area blighted by disadvantage, drugs and other social problems. My Department's Probation and Welfare Service have recently received a proposal for a family and child support project in James's Street and Basin Lane. I have arranged for the Principal Probation and Welfare Officer to visit the location and assess the proposals.

I will respond to the proposal as soon as possible after receiving his report.
