Vol. 453 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Admission.

Seán Haughey

Question:

81 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange with Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9, to have a bed provided for a person (details supplied) who requires an angiogram given that four admission dates were cancelled since February 1995, on the mornings in question; if he considers this situation satisfactory; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9210/95]

Limerick East): I have been informed by Beaumont Hospital that the patient to whom the Deputy refers is on the waiting list for admission for an angiogram.

In relation to Beaumont Hospital, there have been a number of occasions in recent months when, owing to the Accident and Emergency Department being particularly busy, elective admissions have been cancelled.
The person concerned was admitted today.
