Vol. 453 No. 7

Written Answers. - Hydrotherapy Facility.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

76 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Health the proposals, if any, he has to fund the application currently in his Department for an upgrading of the hydrotherapy facility at Saint Joseph's Rehabilitation Unit, Harold's Cross, from national lottery proceeds or other funds available to his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10051/95]

Limerick East): The question of making resources available towards the provision of a new hydrotherapy facility at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation Unit, Harold's Cross has been under consideration in my Department. The total capital cost of the proposal is estimated at £360,000 and officers from my Department are exploring with the hospital authorities the possibility of putting a joint funding arrangement in place, possibly over a number of years, having regard to the many demands on the limited capital resources available to my Department.
