Question:100 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding an application submitted for a thatching grant by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [10151/95]

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a thatching grant from the person named at the address given. There is, however, an application from a person of the same name with a slightly different address. In that case a grant cannot be paid as, contrary to a condition of the scheme, the house has not been occupied on completion of the approved works as a normal place of residence.
