Vol. 454 No. 1

Written Answers. - Sanitary Facilities Provision.

James Leonard

Question:

102 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for the Environment the proposals, if any, he has to make funding available in 1995 for the provision of toilet and bathroom facilities in local authority houses which lack such facilities; and if so, the amount. [10252/95]

Allocations totalling £3 million for 1995 were made to local authorities last March under the bathroom sub-programme to assist them to provide necessary sanitary facilities in their dwellings which lack these facilities. In addition, £18.4 million was allocated to local authorities this year for remedial works scheme projects, some of which include the provision of sanitary facilities.
