Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the member in each case: (1) Deputy Deasy — the fact that the Customs and Excise Maritime Unit in Waterford is not operating despite considerable cost to the taxpayer. (2) Deputy Browne (Wexford)— the major fish kill on the river Shournagh; the spillage of farm effluent into a tributary of the River Kiltha in Cork; and the effect of these incidents on fishing, tourism and farming. (3) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the need for funding for the provision of proper waste management at University Hospital Cork. (4) Eamon Ó Cuív — an gá atá ann go n-aistreofar an Gúm go dtí an Ghaeltacht (5) Deputy Ned O'Keeffe — the price of newspapers in Ireland and (6) Deputy Kathleen Lynch — the urgent need to regulate Sunday trading. The matters raised by Deputies Deasy, Batt O'Keeffe, Éamon Ó Cuív and Ned O'Keeffe have been selected for discussion.
