32 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Education the terms the acting chief executive officer of Westmeath Vocational Education Committee received as a result of severance of service; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10221/95]
The acting chief executive officer of County Westmeath vocational education committee retired on 24 May 1995. His pension and lump sum was based upon his existing service of 26 years and seven months plus seven added years.
I am satisfied that this retirement is in the interests of the service. The terms are in line with those in the local government (early retirement and voluntary redundancy) superannuation scheme, 1992.
