The cost of orders placed for public scheme information booklets and related public relations type publications for my Department for the first three months of 1995 was £95,149. The more significant items included a new PRSI guide for employers and a new rates booklet, both of which are published annually to reflect changes in these areas announced in the budget.
Other items arose from the need to update a number of information leaflets and fact sheets relating to schemes such as the carer's allowance, voluntary and community supports, telephone rental allowance, and the student's summer jobs scheme.
The majority of orders placed involved costs of less than £5,000 and some items also contained application forms for the relevant schemes and services.
