Question:

31 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the overall cost of overtime payments in his Department and in the State-sponsored bodies under the aegis of his Department. [9408/95]

The total overtime paid to date in 1995 in the Department of Foreign Affairs amounts to £106,089.91.

The only State-sponsored body under the aegis of the Department of Foreign Affairs which has incurred overtime expenditure in 1995 is the Agency for Personal Services Overseas (APSO). The costs involved amount to £800.

The cost of overtime in the Office of the Tánaiste in 1995 to date is £1,274. The National Economic and Social Forum which is fully grant aided by the Office of the Tánaiste has paid £1,321 in respect of 1995 overtime.
