Vol. 455 No. 1

Written Answers. - Incontinence Care Advice.

John Ellis

Question:

59 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Health the scale of salary paid to persons occupying the post of nursing adviser on incontinence in the various health boards. [11622/95]

Limerick East): There is no recognised grade of incontinence adviser in the public health service. In the health boards, designated nurses act as advisers on incontinence care. In some cases these duties are of a full-time nature while in others incontinence advice forms part of a wider brief. The grade of nurse, and, therefore salary, in each case is determined by the level of responsibility and other factors specific to the individual post.
