Question:

50 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 is in receipt of only £37 per week disability benefit; and if she will have arrangements made to review this matter. [12274/95]

Limerick East): The disability benefit referred to in this instance is the disabled person's maintenance allowance (DPMA).

Payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer. Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
