Vol. 455 No. 4

Written Answers. - Planning Appeals Data.

Michael McDowell

Question:

88 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for the Environment the number of local planning authority decisions which were appealed to An Bord Pleanála in each of the years 1993 and 1994; the number which were successful; the number which were refused; the number of successful appeals, including appeals where conditions were queried or added; the moneys received by An Bord Pleanála in respect of all such appeals; and the approximate proportion of planning appeals which arose from domestic applications. [12242/95]

The annual report and accounts of An Bord Pleanála, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library, contain details of the number of appeals received and some analysis of the outcome of those appeals. The board does not maintain records on the proportion of planning appeals which arise from domestic applications. The report and accounts for 1994 are being finalised and will be placed in the Library as soon as possible.
