Telecom Eireann was established on 1 January 1984, in accordance with the provisions of section 9 (2) of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983. The nominal value of shares deemed to be fully paid up and issued in accordance with the provisions of sections 18, 19 and 20 of the Act amounts to £335, 315, 336.
