Question:

119 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when Aer Lingus was established; and the initial equity that was invested. [12462/95]

Aer Lingus was incorporated on 22 May 1936 with initial subscriber shares totalling £2. The first equity injection of £22,500 was made through its then holding company, Aer Rianta, on 9 June, 1937.
