Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under the Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Éamon Ó Cuív — an gá atá ann an bóthar Ó Ghaillimh go dtí an Cheathrú Rua a ainmniú mar phríomh-bhóthar náisiúnta, agus mar shineadh don N6, de bharr an méid tráchta atá ag baint úsaid as an mbóthar sin agus de bharr na forbatha tionscalaíochta ar fad sa cheantar sin; (2) Deputy Shatter — the need for the formation of a joint Garda-Revenue investigation unit to tackle the drug problem and tax evasion by drug barons; (3) Deputy O'Dea — the need to improve the recovery rate of maintenance from deserting husbands and unmarried fathers to offset the cost to the taxpayer of paying social welfare to unmarried mothers and deserted wives; (4) Deputy Joe Walsh — the failure of the Council of Ministers to reach agreement on the EU Poverty IV Programme at last week's meeting; (5) Deputy Killeen — the difficulties being experienced by Irish exporters, particularly those in the food industry, arising from the strength of the punt against sterling; and the need to take action to address the matter; (6) Deputy Quill — the acute water shortage in Blarney, County Cork, during the summer season; and the urgent need to sanction a water supply scheme for the area; (7) Deputy Seán Ryan — the safety of plastic oil storage tanks and the Irish standards being used in their manufacture; (8) Deputy Broughan — whether the forthcoming EU urban funding being allocated to North Dublin will include adequate funding for the Darndale-Belcamp area action plan as supported by the Northside Partnership Company.

The matters raised by the following Deputies have been selected for discussion: Éamon Ó Cuív, Quill, O'Dea and Joe Walsh.
