45 Mr. O'Malley asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the response, if any, of the Government to the call by RTE for an increase in the licence fee; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9897/95]
RTE has submitted an application for an increase in the television licence fee and the detailed examination of that application is nearing completion in my Department. If I consider that any increase in the licence is warranted on the basis of the RTE application, I will make my proposals to the Government in the matter.
