Question:

108 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Environment when a decision will be made on the application lodged by Galway County Council for grant assistance towards the cost of constructing a replacement for Flannery Bridge, Kilkerrin, Connemara, County Galway. [13639/95]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 78 and 108 together. Galway County Council submitted a proposal last May for the replacement of Flannery Bridge and applied for funding under the EU co-financed scheme of grants for specific improvement works on non-national roads. I have allocated a grant of £56,000 to the council in 1995 towards the cost of temporary works and for the planning and design of a new bridge at this location.
