Written Answers. - School Extension.

John Browne

Question:

150 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Education when work on the building of an extension to Ballythomas national school, Gorey, County Wexford, will commence.

A grant has been sanctioned by my Department for the provision of a library/medical room at this school. The physical planning of the project has been completed and the chairman of the board of management has been advised to invite tenders. It is expected that a contract will be placed within the next couple of weeks.

Noel Dempsey

Question:

151 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the application of Kells Community School, County Meath, for an extension; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13602/95]

A revised schedule of overall accommodation and a revised schedule of residual accommodation have recently been issued for acceptance by the board of management of the school. When agreement is reached on the schedule of accommodation to be provided, the inclusion of the project in the capital programme will be considered by the Department.
