Written Answers. - Status of Waterford Regional Technical College.
The question of upgrading the status of Waterford regional technical college has to be considered in the context of the report of the steering committee on the future development of higher education together with the conclusions and recommendations on the report which I recently received from the higher education authority. I intend to bring this report to Government in the near future. I have recently made an announcement about the provision of over 6,000 additional places in the university sector. I will shortly be discussing with my Cabinet colleagues the full recommendations of the steering committee's report.
