Vol. 456 No. 2

Written Answers. - Schools Meetings.

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

75 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Education if she will have arrangements made to meet with the boards of management of two schools (details supplied) in Dublin north-east. [13662/95]

A meeting was arranged with the Holy Trinity senior national school earlier this year. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the meeting was cancelled. I have asked my officials to investigate the particular areas of concern to the school and if it is considered appropriate, contact will be made with the principle to arrange a meeting in the near future.

My Department is fully aware of the issues raised by the parents association and staff of Pobal Scoil Neasain, Baldoyle. I have arranged for an immediate meeting between a senior official of my office and the board of management to discuss the planned development of the school.
