Vol. 456 No. 5

Written Answers. - Public Procurement Booklet.

Seamus Brennan

Question:

54 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the State bodies under the aegis of his Department that have been specifically asked to comply with the 1994 Public Procurement Booklet; and when each of the State bodies was asked by his Department to comply with the principles contained in the booklet. [14241/95]

The relevant agencies in so far as this Department is concerned are the Agency for Personal Service Overseas, APSO, and the Refugee Agency. I am satisfied that both have complied fully with the terms of the Public Procurement Booklet. Although both agencies undertake very limited procurement operations, their attention has recently been drawn to the need to comply in all respects with the terms of the booklet.
