136 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of farmers who have been approved a level of compensation under the flood damage relief scheme; the number of farmers paid on foot of such approvals; the total compensation paid out; and the average payment per farmer. The number of applicants approved under the flood damage relief scheme is 1,523 and all of these have been paid. The total compensation paid has amounted to £1,032,950 and the average payment per approved applicant is £678.
