Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Flood — the collapse of a court case against three individuals who were arrested following the seizure by gardaí of injured dogs at Dublin Port; (2) Deputy McDaid — the need to provide funding to Gaelscoil Adhamhnáin, Leitir Ceanain, for incoming pupils next year; (3) Deputy Ó Cuív — the need for dredging at Inishbofin harbour; (4) Deputy O'Hanlon — the impact on road safety of the deterioration in roadgrip during the hot summer weather and the plans to take remedial action; (5) Deputy Eric Byrne — the current position regarding funding for the EU social exclusion programme; (6) Deputy O'Donoghue — the role of the State in opposing the case brought by law students of Queen's University, Belfast: (7) Deputy Sargent — the need for greater Garda resources and an increase in the number of full-time stations in the north Fingal area of Dublin; (8) Deputy Quill — the closure of valuable indigenous enterprises as a result of the application of food hygiene regulations.

The matters raised by Deputies Quill, O'Hanlon, Flood and O'Donoghue have been selected for discussion.
