Question:

68 Mr. Cullen asked the Taoiseach the total funding drawn down in 1995 under the Community Support Framework and the breakdown by operational programme and sub-programme; the total amount of matching Exchequer funds provided by his Department and the breakdown by operational programme and sub-programme; the total amount provided by the private sector and the breakdown by operational programme and sub-programme; and the outturn he expects for 1995 under the above-listed criteria. [14618/95]

The total funding drawn down in 1995 in respect of the operational programme for local urban and rural development amounts to £13,257,423.09. The sub-programme breakdown is as follows: sub-programme 1: Nil; sub-programme 2: £5,475,519.42; sub-programme 3: £7,456,118.70; sub-programme 4: £425,784.97.

The management of sub-programmes 1 and 3 is under the aegis of the Ministers for Enterprise and Employment and the Environment respectively and specific details of Exchequer and private sector funding will be provided by them.

Exchequer funds provided by my Department to date in respect of sub-programme 2 amount to £4.9 million approximately. The funds were advanced to ADM, the intermediary company for the management of the sub-programme. The company is currently preparing data on private sector funding supporting the sub-programme. The indicative outturn for the sub-programme in 1995 is £9 million which comprises EU funds at 75 per cent aid rate, matching Exchequer funds at 25 per cent and private sector funds.

Exchequer funds appropriate to expenditure in sub-programme 4 which is managed by my Department total £165,000 to date. The indicative outturn for the sub-programme for 1995 is £1 million approximately of which 75 per cent will be EU Structural Funds. There are no private sector funds under the sub-programme.
