Written Answers. - National Alcohol Policy.
The Advisory Council on Health Promotion was requested by the Government in 1989 to develop a National Alcohol Policy. A working group subsequently initiated a consultative process and a report was prepared on the basis of submissions and presentations made to the working group. I am now considering the report, in the light of current issues with regard to alcohol policies. I would hope to have the outline of such a policy prepared by the end of this year.
